Zanotta explores the mastery of Mollino in an archival show
Architect, photographer and designer Carlo Mollino was one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Italian aesthetics. Born in Turin, Mollino was known for his slightly surrealist aesthetic, seen in landmark designs such as Turin’s Teatro Regio and the Vertebra table. His zoomorphic forms and anatomical curves are demonstrably abstract, and his projects drew inspiration from a diverse array of experiential references and micro-worlds that remain relevant and captivating.
