In conjunction with NYCxDesign Week this year, Japanese retailer MUJI launched ‘Best of Found MUJI’; a curated collection of homeware items from the ongoing Found MUJI series. The collection, which introduces a host of new products to the U.S, features a combination of signature ‘Found’ items as well as an exclusive range of never-before- seen Japanese textile products.

Best of Found MUJI includes items from the China, India, France, Sweden and Italy, with a special focus on Japan. For the first time, MUJI will unveil an exclusive range of ‘Found’ products made from Japanese textiles, such as pillowcases, throws, napkins and bags. All items in the Best of Found MUJI collection are available for purchase in a special pop-up located in MUJI’s flagship Fifth Avenue store.

Found MUJI is a concept born from discovery-led travels across the globe. The MUJI team, with an astute eye for design and a penchant for simplicity, seek to ‘find’ objects that honour the unique cultures and customs of countries around the world. The items are then recreated to meld MUJI’s distinct aesthetic with core design elements found in each region. The on-going series currently features collections from countries as diverse as France, India, Germany, Ecuador, Thailand and China.
