In celebration of the spring season, BIKINI BERLIN commissioned Rebecca Louise Law to deconstruct a spring garden and suspend it within the atrium of Bikini Berlin’s concept retail space. The installation is up until 1st May 2016 and will be followed by a Flower Market in the space.
30,000 live flowers donated by Tollwasblumenmachen.de, an affiliate of the Flower Council of Holland are strung with copper wire to make up the site-specific installation, which will dry in-situ over time.
In keeping with the language of the architecture, the natural and light sculpture provides visitors with a centrepiece that invites them to consider the wonder of nature. The array of colours and floral scents that punctuate the internal urban landscape, bring the outside in.
