The Lost Cloth Object
ALPI, the pioneering manufacturer and leading producer of decorative surfaces made of reconstituted wood, will exclusively debut ’The Lost Cloth Object,’ its new Kuba-inspired capsule collection created in collaboration with Stephen Burks Man Made. The capsule collection reinterprets the centuries-old textile traditions of the ancient Kuba Kingdom, in today’s Democratic Republic of Congo, through ALPI’s innovative approach to recomposed wood. Made from the fibres of the raffia palm, Kuba cloths are renowned for their geometric motifs and intricate handwork.

DESIGN MIAMI
For the 20th anniversary edition of its Miami Beach fair, the showcase is curated around theme Make. Believe., honouring the collectible design visionaries of the past and present, and spotlighting those of the future. Find over 70 exhibitors are coming together with 25 new debuts for this anniversary moment. Marking this milestone year, the fair also unveils Design Miami 2.0, a Special Project realised by curatorial director Glenn Adamson featuring works by eight of today’s most compelling voices in contemporary design.

HENGE
The luxury Italian brand is making its Design Miami debut with the unveiling of the Henge Collectors Lounge, an immersive and refined environment designed to welcome collectors, professionals and enthusiasts. Conceived by designer Ugo Cacciatori, the project reflects the brand’s spirit through a contemporary language that resonates with Italian artisanal tradition.

CALICO WALLPAPER
Get an exclusive preview one of Calico Wallpaper’s new collections in collaboration with American artist Francesca DiMattio. Architectural Digest writes, ‘Lattice presents a constellation of fancy-dress plates –the sort that might line her dinner table – against a crosshatched ground. “I’m always thinking of ways to change how we meet the feminine,” DiMattio says, pointing out how the agitated brushstrokes feel closer to graffiti than the “sweet and polished” source material.’ Read more.

Gargantua Thumb by Katie Stout
Miami Design District, in collaboration with Design Miami Curatorial Lab, have chosen acclaimed artist Katie Stout as the recipient of the 2025 Annual Design Commission. ‘Gargantua’s Thumb’ features a series of sculptural benches – each piece begins as miniature clay animal figures, hand-sculpted by the artist and intentionally marked by the irregularities and playful distortions that arise when working at an intimate scale.

Fonderia Fendi
In celebration of its 100th anniversary, FENDI presents an unprecedented manifestation of feminine strength and Italian craft created in collaboration with Argentinian designer and artist Conie Vallese. Calling upon five Italian ateliers to fabricate one-of-a-kind FENDI pieces in bronze, ceramic, glass, carpet, and leather, Vallese recreates an intimate salotto (living room). As part of the collaboration, FENDI will also unveil a limited-edition Peekaboo bag designed by Vallese.
