Founded in 1861, The National Gallery of Victoria, popularly known as the NGV, is Australia’s oldest and most visited gallery, and home to the most significant collection of art and design in the region, hosting a wide range of international and local artists, exhibitions, programmes and events.

Camron developed the NGV’s global communications strategy to highlight its world-class programming to an international audience. Working closely with the curatorial teams, we have overseen the international media relations and offered strategic counsel for key events including the NGV Triennial and Melbourne Design Week, prizes such as the annual Architectural Commission, the inaugural MECCA x NGV Women in Design Commission and The Rigg Design Prize. Our remit also extends to the promotion of blockbuster exhibitions including Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto, The Picasso Century and Pierre Bonnard Designed by India Mahdavi.

Through thoughtful media campaigns, we have supported in growing international awareness of the gallery’s globally focused programming, including extensive online exposure when Australia was closed to tourism during the pandemic, while also amplifying the voice of the gallery’s leadership team as key industry commentators.

Beyond communications for regular programming, we have also worked closely with NGV to announce the launch of The Fox: NGV Contemporary – Australia’s largest contemporary art museum.

The successful delivery of previous communications strategies have yielded international media placements in catalyst global publications including The New York Times, CNN Style, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper*, The Art Newspaper, and many others.
