Founded in 1880 in Como, Italy, Taroni is one of the world’s oldest and most respected silk manufacturers, internationally recognised for its exceptional craftsmanship and continuous commitment to innovation. The the company specialises in creating luxurious silk fabrics that are
synonymous with haute couture and high-end prêt-à-porter.

In 2025, Taroni entered a new strategic phase, extending its expertise beyond fashion with the launch of Taroni Laboratorio, a design-led and sustainability-driven project exploring innovative applications of silk.

Introduced during Milan Design Week 2025, the initiative transforms silk surplus from the production process into a new interior collection of rugs, tapestries and cushions, marking the beginning of a long-term vision rooted in circular economy principles and responsible innovation.

Collaborating with Casa Amar, a Moroccan artisan collective, and American designer Lillian Grant, the collection of handwoven rugs, tapestries and home accessories launched both at Salone del Mobile and a location in the heart of the city.
