Camron is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic publicist to play a leading role in a London-based team working at the intersection of design, architecture, luxury lifestyle, travel and the creative industries. This person will become deeply integrated into client work, building and managing strategies and balancing day-to-day priorities across the team and the portfolio of accounts.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and an interest in culture, design, architecture, and design-led business.

This role requires strong media contacts, impeccable writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to quickly turn around written materials, including strategies, press releases, client reports and more.

Responsibilities

Strategy:

Strategise and oversee press announcements

Conduct market research for strategy development and support in drafting of strategies

Contribute to client presentations, new business strategies and press releases

Participate in creative brainstorms and put forth fresh ideas to the team

 

Client Management:

Manage the day-to-day of strategic and tactical work across a diverse portfolio of clients

Manage logistics for client events, from supplier coordination to managing rsvp/check-in team

Manage media monitoring, delivering results to clients

Manage weekly and monthly status reports for clients

 

Media Relations: 

Maintain relationships with media, and serve as day to day contact for media on certain projects

Generate feature placements across print and digital outlets

Develop pitch ideas, pitch press and secure media coverage

Manage the development of customized media grids and lists to support editor pitching

 

Leadership: 

Prioritise workload and help support workflow processes for team

Engage, train, and support other employees on the team on the key elements they need to understand and deliver to be effective at their jobs, and to support their growth

Qualifications

5+ years public relations experience, with agency experience required 

A background in or working knowledge of design, culture, architecture or lifestyle

Experienced project manager and/or client lead 

Effective managerial skills 

Team player with the ability to manage both up and down–from senior leadership to interns

Quick and precise writer and editor 

Confident speaker and presenter

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment 

Can-do attitude–no job is too big or too small 

A background in or working knowledge of design
