What is the role of a cultural institution during design weeks?

In 2019, 370,000 design professionals and 25,000 members of the public visited Milan Design Week. Post-pandemic, these numbers seem to be back. But should we be celebrating? Or do we need to consciously reframe how design weeks are socially positioned?
